Hi, I’m Dinki, and welcome to Popelyn.
I’m the founder of Popelyn, and I write from Bhinga, a small town in Shravasti district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Where I grew up, an evening meant one TV, a plate of something hot, and the whole family arguing over what to watch. Those evenings taught me something I still believe: a good story belongs to everyone, no matter how big or small the town you watch it from.
As I got older, I noticed I wasn’t only watching stories, I was thinking about them. Why did that ending land so well? Why did a hyped show leave me cold? And why was it so hard to find a review that simply told me the truth? I started Popelyn to write the kind of reviews and guides I always wanted to read: honest, warm and free of clickbait.

Who’s behind the site
Popelyn is run by me and a small team of two to three writers who help with research and writing. We’re a small independent team, and everything you read here is written by real people who care about what they publish.
How we review
- We watch what we review. We don’t write from trailers or other people’s summaries.
- We tell you what we liked and what we didn’t, even when a show is hugely popular.
- Spoilers are always marked clearly.
- Affiliate or sponsored content, if any, is always disclosed.
- If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
